- DEI - Dutch East Indies
- GC - Guadalcanal or Grand Campaign
- HI - Heavy Industry or Home Islands
- JFB - Japanese Fan Boy
- KB - Kido Butai
- LBA - Land Based Aircraft
- LCU - Land Combat Unit
- PH - Pearl Harbor
- PM - Port Moresby
- PP - Political Points
- SRA - Strategic Resource Area (usually referencing the DEI)
