Terms and Definitions

Commonly used terms and definitions used in discussions about War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition but not necessarily found in the manual. (Note that some terms have multiple meanings dependant upon the context used).

• AB - Airbase
• AFB - Allied Fan Boy
• DEI - Dutch East Indies
• GC - Guadalcanal or Grand Campaign
• HI - Heavy Industry or Home Islands
• JFB - Japanese Fan Boy
• KB - Kido Butai
• LBA - Land Based Aircraft
• LCU - Land Combat Unit
• PH - Pearl Harbor
• PM - Port Moresby
• PP - Political Points
• SRA - Strategic Resource Area (usually referencing the DEI)
